On August 26, a catastrophic glacial collapse in northern Nepal triggered flash floods that left over 1,300 dead, 5,100 missing, 84,000 completely homeless, and 4.78 billion in damages.
With over 40 critical bridges obliterated, remote mountain communities are entirely cut off. The situation is now a race against time: freezing alpine winter temperatures are fast approaching, and 22,000 children lack safe drinking water.
To support ongoing emergency relief work on the ground, we are organizing a fundraiser event in Cochrane.

Event:- Momothon: Trek to Everest
Date/Time:- October 3 / 11 am to 5 pm
Location:- Aama Nepalese Cuisine, 2106 – 100 Horse Creek Rd, Cochrane, AB

You can support us in multiple ways: buy our Momothon ticket, join our community walk around Heritage Hills, Cochrane, inspired by the iconic Trek to Everest, with 13 milestones along the way. Drop a loonie or a toonie in the donation box at each of our 12 milestones, plus $5.00 at the summit. Check out our curated online auction and donate online.
Attached is the event flyer and sponsorship package. Nepal cannot rebuild from this $4.78 billion disaster alone—we urgently need your leadership to help these families survive the winter. Please share this with your friends, family, and any potential sponsors in your circle.
