The Rotary Club of Calgary, Downtown, is hosting a fund-raising and information session for its Adopt-a-Village program at the historic Ranchmen's Club in Calgary at 6:00 pm on September 23.  A light meal will be provided.  All district members and friends are invited to attend.  Information on this successful initiative will be provided as well as what we would like to do to make the program available in more areas of the world.

The Adopt a Village Program is currently a partnership between the Rotary Club of Calgary Downtown and local Rotary clubs in Uganda, working together to uplift rural communities facing systemic challenges, including limited access to clean water, low agricultural productivity, widespread poverty, and environmental degradation. We are working on expanding the program into other geographic areas and opportunities exist for both small and large clubs and/or individuals to become involved and make a difference in the world using a proven approach.
