Gabriella Hartung is arriving in our District on Sunday 7 August for a four-week NEW GENERATIONS SERVICE EXCHANGE PROGRAM. She is a Mechanical Engineering student in Regensburg, Germany, and will be spending a month in the area:

a week in Calgary, followed by a week in Red Deer, a week in Lethbridge, and a final week back in Calgary.

Gabriella will be staying with Rotary host families in each city and will enjoy a program comprising exposure to mechanical engineers in our District, Rotary Club meetings and service projects, and fun at a cultural level.

Focusing on Red Deer, Harvey and Carol Maskowitz are Gabriella’s host family. They are still looking for more mechanical engineers in Red Deer and area with whom Gabriella can spend vocational time, learning about mechanical engineering in our country. If you know of anyone, please contact Harvey at (403) 396-2112.

Still in Red Deer, on the Rotary and social front, the Maskowitz’ have a great program lined up for Gabriella, including a social event on Saturday 20 August, to which y’all are invited!
Harvey writes: “… come for a visit on Sat August 20 in the afternoon and bring your own supper and refreshments. We will have plates, condiments and a fire for steaks, burgers or whatever. Our site is North of Sundre, about 15 minutes to Burnstick Lake Road, 1 mile east, 3 miles south to 352002 RR 5-3. We are at site 6”.

No need to RSVP, just turn up and have a fun afternoon getting to know Gabriella!
