Dear Rotaractor Kristina,
It is my pleasure to congratulate the Rotaract Club of the University of Lethbridge on its Rotaract Outstanding Project, “Siaqtuut – A Journey Together.” The members of the 2011-12 RI Rotaract and Interact Committee have selected your project as 2012 USA, Canada, and Caribbean Districts Winner to be recognized at this year's Rotaract Preconvention Meeting, 4-5 May at the Impact Exhibition & Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
I am pleased to invite you or a representative of your Rotaract club to attend the meeting to receive this prestigious award. Your experience with the “Siaqtuut – A Journey Together” project will inspire Rotaractors around the world to continue their efforts to meet the needs of their communities. All Rotaract Outstanding Project winners will receive their awards on Friday, 4 May from 16:00-17:05 and have an opportunity to briefly present their projects on Saturday, 5 May from 10:45-11:45. Winners are also invited to discuss their projects at an RI Convention breakout session, “New Generations
and the Areas of Focus,” on Wednesday, 9 May from 12:30-14:00.
Although your participation in both the Rotaract Preconvention Meeting and the Rotary International Convention would be at your own expense, I sincerely hope you will accept my invitation. If you are not already registered for the Rotaract Preconvention Meeting, you may register on-site in Bangkok. Registration and other useful information about these events can be found on RI's Web site at www.rotary.org/convention.
Adam Arents, Promotions and Program Coordinator for New Generations, will provide staff support for these awards. He is available to answer any questions you may have. Please confirm your ability to participate to him no later than Monday, 16 April. Adam
can be reached at adam.arents@rotary.org or 1.847.866.3296.
Thank you for your leadership and commitment to the Rotaract program. May you continue to Reach Within to Embrace Humanity through Rotaract!
