Last Leg of the NGSE Tour

Alessandro is on a New Generations Service Exchange (NGSE) program in our District. After three weeks in Lethbridge, he spent six days in Airdrie and is now in Calgary, where he wraps up his NGSE program on Monday, 24 June.
The transition from Airdrie to Calgary was facilitated by Airdrie host, Jayden Backs, who handed Alessandro over into the safekeeping of Brian and Christine Rendell, in Calgary Tower!
An NGSE program has three facets: vocational, humanitarian service (usually through Rotary clubs), and cultural exchange.
On his first morning in Calgary, Brian and Christine roped Alessandro into a RC of Calgary East Pancake Breakfast, during which he demonstrated his skills in pancake grilling!

Additional exposure to Rotary was attending the fun-filled year-end social of the RC of Calgary East at Brian and Christine’s house.
Alessandro’s exposure to Canadian history included a visit to the Lancaster Museum earlier this week, where he learned about the history of aviation and was able to see and sit in various old aircraft.

Alessandro, you are a wonderful ambassador of your Rotary District 1830 in Germany, and have been a great marketer of the NGSE in District 5360! Thank you!!

May you nurture the many relationships you have built up in our District over the years ahead. We hope you will be active within the Rotary family once you get back home. We wish you all the very best for your future studies in the medical field.
