Announcing District 5360’s 2024 Global Grant Scholarship Recipients

District 5360’s scholarship committee is pleased to introduce the two 2024 recipients of the Global Grant Scholarship. Ms. Samaya Miller, from High River, will do an MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge. While in England, her host club will be the Rotary Club of Ely Hereward, District 1080. Ms. Reeana Tazreean, from Calgary, will do a Master of Science in Bioethics at Harvard University in Cambridge. While in the United States, her host club will be the Rotary Club of Ipswich-Rowley.

Worth US$30,000, Global Grant scholarships are for full-time, in-person graduate study in one of The Rotary Foundation’s seven areas of focus by students from District 5360 at universities outside of Canada. These scholarships are fully funded by District 5360, with a World Fund match from TRF. For more information about this year’s recipients and past recipients of the scholarship, visit the district web site: https://www.rotary5360.ca/page/global-scholarship-funding, Application information and deadlines for the 2025 competition will be posted here in September.
