AND THE FUN BEGAN…
Within hours of arrival and unpacking, Lu and May were into fun activities with their host families – like BBQing and learning how to play lawn bowling!

VOCATIONAL EXPERIENCE WITH HYDER, UPCOMER AND PLATFORM CALGARY
The vocational side of the exchange kicked in on Monday, under the motivating leadership of Rotarian Hyder Hassan.
Learning about aspects of entrepreneurship and fledgling small businesses was quick and fast!
Hands-on learning was fueled by May and Lu’s appetite for learning, the inputs of great mentors… and of course, coffee breaks!
One virtual week and one in-person week down, two more weeks in Calgary, to go!
We, the District 5360 NGSE Team, extend gratitude to the many Rotarians, Rotaractors and family members, who are not only making this exchange possible, but are ensuring that it will be a life-changing experience for these two fabulous young people.
Watch this space for more adventures of Lu and May!
