Thursday, September 1,
the Medicine Hat Sunrise club invited the Saamis Immigration Services Association to join Rotary members and recent immigrants for a walk around the Rotary Walking path near the College. 001This was a great event that brought together Immigrants from many countries from Africa, Syria, Lebanon, Iran and other countries. Those Rotarians that attended were able to spend time Moving for Polio and talking to talking with Immigrants at the same time. Afterwards,

there was a light lunch and socializing. Many of these Immigrants are just learning English and it was interesting at the various levels of understanding as we visited together. My wife, Pat, and I enjoyed this opportunity to #MoveforPolio and interact and visit with many great people.
While visiting clubs in the Medicine Hat city and area, we took advantage of the fabulous bike paths and biked each day in this beautiful city.
Over the course of 3 days, we logged approximately 100 kilometres. This is certainly a great way to improve our mental and physical health and raise money for Polio.
We encourage all of our members in our District to get active and record their kilometres and report to your club champion and get sponsors along with your own donations and donate here.
