Samaya Miller

MPhil in Development Studies

Samaya Miller recently graduated from the University of British Columbia in International Relations. She will dedicate her research at Cambridge to understanding how inequality, poverty, policy imbalances and historical events influence the accessibility of quality education for young boys in Jamaica. By employing an intersectional and historical approach, she aims to explore the myriad of educational barriers and perpetual historical inequalities for these boys, examining their effects on identity and economic mobility and exploring potential avenues for intellectual empowerment to alter their life trajectories.

Reeana Tazreean

Master of Science in Bioethics

Reeana Tazreean earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Health & Society from the University of Calgary in Canada and will pursue a Master of Science in Bioethics at Harvard University. She worked in the Domestic Policy and Public Relations/Communications teams at UNICEF Canada and consulted as a Health Innovation Architect. Her research focuses on advancing postoperative mobilization within an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery framework and examining health disparities. Her bioethical interest is investigating the ethical implications of global healthcare innovation co-created with youth. She enjoys creative writing, spin cycle classes, and acting in her free time.
