Rotary Face Mask, Group Order Project
The Chinook Rotary Club has offered to to do a group order and save members some money!
Some things to know….
  • The cost will depend on the quantity so the more we order as a group, the less the cost;
  • The normal individual minimum order is 250 face masks BUT WE will take orders of 10 face masks or more;
  • There are 4 designs and the price varies according to volume as a group;
  • For the 3 face masks  (see pictures below)  - blue, white and multi print- the cost is $8.00 per face mask (with a normal minimum order of 250);
  • For the "People of Action" face mask  (see picture below) - blue only-  the cost is $20.00 per face mask (with a normal minimum order of 250);
  • THE PRICE WILL BE REDUCED ON A TOTAL GROUP ORDER OVER 250 and depending on final number total;
  • Order form will be sent to any club that joins the group purchase and price will be determined at that time;
  • EACH club will designate a member to handle the order and payment for their entire Club order.
CLUB Orders must be received by Wednesday September 16th as final order will take 3 -4  weeks for production/delivery
 (and, No,  sadly the pandemic won’t be over by then!).
If you are interested in joining this group project, or have any questions,  contact  Dale Perret  <> and an Order Form will be emailed to you .

#wingfest2020, Wednesdays thru September
The Rotary Club of Red Deer- Urban Spirits is thrilled to announce this new take on Wing Fest for 2020. It's our chance to support those who have supported us and we couldn't possibly be more excited about this FRIEND-RAISER.❤️ A month long event to give back to the community that REALLY gave to us over the years making Wing Fest happen, donating hundreds and hundreds of chicken wings, all so our club and Rotaract could support local and international projects.
This our way of saying we got your back too.
Historically, this event has been a fundraiser supporting both community and international initiatives; however, for 2020, our event is focused solely on supporting local restaurants by encouraging central Albertans to order chicken wings (either in person or via takeout) throughout the month of September on Wing Wednesdays and to vote for their favourite wings across three categories - Creatively Inspired Flavour, Signature Recipe and Heat to Beat.
We are proud to announce #Wingfest2020 is a go. Take out, dine in, delivery....oh ya, wings are on the menu for Wing Wednesdays throughout September and our participants are bringing it!

RAYEC Camp, Aug 8 - 14, 2021
Planning is well underway for the 24th annual Rotary Alberta Youth Entrepreneurship Camp.
RAYEC 2021 will be held August 8 to 14 at Eagles Nest Ranch.  RAYEC is a business camp for youth aged 13-15.

The camp would not be possible without the financial support of the clubs of Rotary District 5360.  Sponsoring a camper/youth leader for the week is $1000.00.

All camp applications are processed centrally.  Clubs are not responsible for finding a youth, however they can encourage youth in their areas to apply.

WGIPPA, Online Assembly, Sat Sep 19
All Rotarians are invited to join us for the
annual Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park Assembly
and Pledge of Peace
It began as a bold idea:
Where no boundary could be seen,
no boundary should be.
The Waterton Glacier International Peace Park is the first transboundary peace park in the world, envisioned by Rotarians from Canada and the USA and approved by both governments in 1932. Today it stands as a testament to the Rotary International focus on peace and the cooperation necessary to coexist as parks, nations or individuals. It combines the 203-square-mile Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada with the 1,600-square-mile Glacier National Park in the United States. The arrangement allows both national parks to operate as separate entities under the peace park mantle. Each September, the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park Association (WGIPPA) hosts a gathering at the peace park to learn about the park efforts, peace-building ideas and to pledge our continued work for peace.
This year, we are unable to host an in-person gathering. But this gives us the opportunity to instead invite a wider audience to experience this inspiring and unique part of Rotary history.
You are invited to join us on Saturday, September 19 from 2-4 pm (Mountain Time) to hear a bit of the history of the peace park, the state of conservation in the area, speakers on peace, take the peace pledge with us meet Rotarians from around the area in fellowship and peace.
There is no cost for the event but we ask you to visit to find the agenda, more information and register.
