On Saturday November 16, 2024, Stan received an award from the Alberta Catholic School Trustees Association in recognition of his work with students in rural and urban school boards in Saskatchewan and Alberta, Mount Royal Junior College, the University of Calgary, Gonzaga University and the Department of Education, Alberta. ACSTA is an organization of Catholic school trustees in the province of Alberta and includes members from the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Every year at their AGM they honour one person for contributions to Catholic education. Stan was this year's honouree.
