Afghanistan - Earthquake
The first phase of our response is complete, and a second phase providing tents, solar lights, winter clothing and more is underway now. Distributions will wrap up at the end of November. Burkina Faso - Conflict Our 7th project is now underway to provide 1700 households with locally appropriate emergency shelter. Chad - Conflict All of the durable shelters provided to refugees and returnees are now complete. Our evaluation process will begin shortly. We also continue to provide emergency shelter for refugees arriving from Sudan. Ethiopia - Conflict The evaluation of project 7 is now underway and Project 8 will likely start early in the new year. Gaza - Conflict Our first project with MAP is complete. We still have aid waiting at the border which will be distributed as soon as we are able to gain access. Jamaica - Hurricane Melissa See update at the start of this email. Myanmar - Earthquake Working with a local partner, ShelterBox is providing construction materials, tarps and other aid items to allow people to repair and rebuild their homes. 666 homes have been repaired/rebuilt so far. The remaining 280 will be completed over the next month. Pakistan - Flooding All distributions are now complete. A project evaluation will start shortly. Philippines - Typhoon Bualoi Our team has distributed aid in 12 barangays so far. Distributions are continuing to provide emergency shelter and supplies. Philippines - Cebu Earthquake Our local ShelterBox Operations Philippines staff and a deployed team are working to reach 1700 affected households. So far 609 households have received aid.
