The event kicks off Friday evening with a Pig roast followed by entertainment by the “Wardens”.

On Saturday, informative speakers bring information about the two National Parks, the native peoples and their culture, the history of Waterton and its future and a look at the Crown of the Continent and the transboundary collaboration that occurs. We will top the day off with a dinner and keynote speaker and fellowship.
On Sunday, we will celebrate the relationships we have formed during the weekend and over the years culminating with the “Hands Across the Border” pledge of Peace with our neighbours to the south.

The Canadian National Parks are free this year in celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Canada.
Accommodations are still available at the Aspen Village Inn and Bear Mountain Motel. Check the WGIPPA website for a complete list of accommodations then call as opposed to registering online. Aspen Village Inn gives a discount (CODE is PEACE).
Campground registration closes on September 10 and camping in the townsite for the Assembly weekend is on a first come, first-served basis.
We are honoured to present the 4th Annual Chocolate Chase on Sunday, August 27th - a fundraiser for the Access for All Barrier-Free Playscape in Red Deer, Alberta.
This year, in addition to our 3k/5k run/walk, we have added a Chocolate Chip Race for kids 3 years and younger and a 10k run for adults.
Registration open 8:00 A.M. Welcome & Warm-Up with Hot Mama Health & Fitness 8:45 A.M. Chocolate Chip Chase (3yrs and Under) 9:00 A.M. 10K Run 9:15 A.M. 3K or 5K Walk/Run 9:30 A.M. 3K or 5K Family 9:30 A.M.
All participants will receive a FREE 4th Annual Chocolate Chase buff and opportunities to win awesome draw prizes with registration! Family fun interactive activities, snacks and CHOCOLATE treats at the finish line (of course!) are also included with registration! Addiitonal raffle tickets will be available for purchase.
This year's line-up of chocolate sponsors include: Famoso Pizza Red Deer, Cuppity Cakes Bakeshop, Cutie Pies, Subway Red Deer and Chocolates by Bernard Callebaut Red Deer!

The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment or RYPEN is a Rotary sponsored District Youth Service program. Students, from 13 - 17 years of age, from across District 5360 attend a weekend long camp designed at developing their potential through a mixture of lecture style sessions and adventure-based learning.
Its aim is to communicate to young people a series of ideas, problems and social experiences which will assist them in forming their own values and moral standards. A program of thought-provoking speakers, social situations, and personal challenges is offered.
We suggest that your school or youth clubs are contacted prior to the end of this school year in order to meet the early September registration deadlines.
